The main selection criterion is stated as compliance with the Fund’s mission, vision, and approaches , i.e. with our understanding of the situation in civil society, its problems and main priorities of the development of its structures and society as a whole. We do not claim our understanding to be uniquely true; however, every organization has its own niche and we are primarily looking for likeminded people. Moreover, our vision of the situation is being transformed in the course of time based on the analysis of processes happening in the country. We welcome you to influence our vision by arguing your position and demonstration the results of your work based on different approaches.

Understanding ambiguity of abovementioned criteria, in the process of work we came to a conclusion that it is impossible to devise precise and consistent project selection criteria. Moreover, considering that during the reviewing process we work not only with the texts of proposals, but also with applicants personally, detailed list of criteria proves to be unpractical. The content of project proposals, as well as the capacity and experience of applicants are so different, that individual approach to each application is, in our opinion, the best approach.
